We are so excited to introduce the newest member of the eMedia team, Amanda Philpot! This rockstar is joining our nerdy crew with a mix of marketing and social media experience as well as a creative eye for all things design. In Amanda’s new role as Marketing Coordinator, she will be assisting with our marketing efforts and brand design work for our Clients and eMedia as a whole. Let’s get to know a little more about our newest creative!
What are you most excited about in your new role as Marketing coordinator?
I can’t wait to get involved in a little bit of everything. Marketing encompasses such a wide range of creative strategy and design execution, so I’m super excited to be apart of both and marry the two together. I’m also really looking forward to helping the eMedia brand, and our client’s brands soar and achieve their fullest potential. I can’t pinpoint one thing that I’m most excited about because I’m super happy to be part of such an incredible and collaborative team day in and day out!
What’s your favorite part of working at eMedia so far?
Aside from our office dog? It’s only my second week, but I have to say the insanely awesome people I work with is my favorite part so far. They are so nice and have already made me feel right at home. They are wildly creative, inspiring, and love what they do. I think they’ll continue to be my favorite for a quite a while!…*we didn’t pay her to say that 🙂
Who/what are some of your go-to online resources?
Mashable is always an excellent resource for anything social media. Adweek and Adage are two sources that also always have inspiring content from the big brands. You also can’t go wrong with CreativeBloq and I really love Medium. Some others I like to frequent for design inspiration include:
- FormFiftyFive and MindSparkle Mag – these are the types of blogs that you just get happy looking at.
- I am also a serious fan of food and lifestyle blogs – but that’s for another day!
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I love to hang out with friends and family, grab a drink or two at a fun bar and just spend time with the people I care about. I could also lose an entire day doing calligraphy – I enjoy doing this for weddings or other creative projects. I also can’t forget to mention playing volleyball when I’m able, traveling, and experiencing new things.
*Disclaimer: she wasn’t on her top volleyball game when this photo was taken.
Gnarly Facts About Amanda:
- I’m a serious dog lover. I have 2 furbabies of my own: Brody and Kirby (I rescued both when I was at school in Mississippi)
- Donuts make the world go ’round. Okay…maybe not the entire world, probably just mine.
- I’m a lefty, so that alone makes me way more unique than 90% of the population 😉
